Hey everyone! Here are the main news updates from today’s Board of Directors meeting.
We’ll talk about FFO, ERASMUS, SCHOLARSHIPS FOR OUT-OF-TOWN STUDENTS and NEW PROJECTS IN THE LA MASA CAMPUS!
FFO
The Ordinary Financing Fund is the fund allocated to universities by the ministry. This year’s budget, which decides how to manage state funds, has further cut the money allocated to universities, reflecting the well-known interest of our politicians in youth and education. This results in a total reduction of €4.5 million in funding for Politecnico. While the university won’t face immediate problems, this could have a negative long-term impact, especially on hiring and on us students.
INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY CALL
The call for international mobility (Erasmus, Erasmus+, dual degrees) will be released on November 19. In the Teaching Council, we agreed with the professors to give 3 bonus points for dual degrees to those who haven’t participated in any mobility before! The call closes on January 10.
CALL FOR MERITORIOUS OUT-OF-TOWN STUDENTS
There are 170 scholarships available this year, each worth €3,080 gross. Students enrolled for the academic year 2024/2025 in first-level, single-cycle, or master’s degree programs, with an ISEE/ISEEU of €51,000 or less, can apply.
